Maybe one last offseason question, before games begin: is it too early to wonder how the front office is working pre- and post- Roy Clark? I am curious on opinions whether this has been a good move or bad. I was worried that they were losing a key guy, yet their 2015 draft seems to have yielded some intriguing prospects even without the 1st rounder, and the LA program also appears to be ticking up. Interested whether anyone with more knowledge cares to offer up a comment or too. Are we seeing more Bob Miller’s influence or is he primarily contracts and major league stuff?
Wally, I feel that Rizzo is such a strong personality and such a strong scout that he can function without the guys who helped him get off the ground. For better or for worse, Rizzo is adept at working with the Lerners frugality and desires to make sure they never overpay, I feel. Glad to see the site is back active with the Spring Training games. Looking forward to a far more active 2017 commenting and a far more active presence in the Natmosphere this year. Did not see one live game last year. Hope to hit maybe 10-25 this year, focusing on road games for both the minors and majors.
