Scenes From Spring Training
Yesterday was the first scheduled off day of the spring and the next game isn’t until tonight. I debated whether or not to pull the plug on ST coverage with the last set of cuts, but have decided to stick around for a little while longer. There’s still some drama as to whether or not a couple of our guys will make the team, as Adam Kilgore aptly noted yesterday with Aaron Barrett, Zach Walters, and Jeff Kobernus.
In the meantime, let me run some photos, courtesy of our intrepid volunteer Springfield Fan to give folks a taste of what Mother Nature can’t quite decide to let us see ’round these parts.
Really enjoys these and kudos to Springfield Fan for putting this stuff up. Really whets my appetite for my own trip. I will be in Viera tomorrow through Sunday morning with my brother. Lot of stuff on the agenda. Thursday will be focused on the NCAA tournament with my alma mater playing along with a miraculous assignment of St. Louis, perhaps my brother’s favorite team, to Florida. Friday and/or Saturday I hope to pass through Nats minor league camp, and I will be sure to share whatever I learn with my favorite Nats community on the interwebs: nationalsprospects.com.
Thanks, SD, look forward to them.
I think they’ll keep Roark and tandem him with Detwiler plus Stammen, Storen, Clippard, and unfortunately Soriano.
Taylor Jordan gets the nod.
No room for Barrett as yet.
Sure looks like they add 40 year old Jamey Carroll to the roster. But I think still room for two of Espinosa, Kobernus, Moore, Walters …
And Brock Peterson isn’t looking all that bad.
T-Mo might still end up in Houston.
