Time for our semi-weekly update on how the notable Nationals minor leaguers are doing in the winter leagues, beginning of course, with the Arizona Fall League. All statistics as of 11/3/2013, 11:30 p.m. EST.

As reported previously, the winter leagues in Australia and Puerto Rico started up over the weekend, but it appears there are no current Nats down under and just two on La Isla del Encanto — Jose Lozada and Tyler Herron, neither of whom have appeared in a game yet.
1. Skole’s walk rate stands out (SO’s also, but that is a little less surprising) … had anyone heard comments about that being something he was particularly working on at the AFL?
2. Rivero seems to be playing well (again) in the winter leagues. What is his status… seems like he should be a FA soon?
Pitching is generally weak in the AFL, but Skole has always had high K and BB rates (187 & 143 respectively in 193 games from 2011-2013). Rivero will be a FA but the BA tracker hasn’t been uploaded yet with the 2013-2014 data.
The pitching stats seem to be basically correct, except that Solis is now 3-2 and Purke is 2-1. Not that a pitcher’s W-L record means anything 🙂
