This is the second time I’ve passed through Nashville, but the first time I’ve been to First Horizon Ballpark, which was opened in 2015 as First Tennessee park on the site of Sulfur Dell park which had been the site of multiple stadiums from 1908 to 1963.
The design is very much like the second stadium boom of the 2010s: wraparound concourse, exposed beams, etc.
The signature feature is the guitar-shaped scoreboard, a holdover from the Sounds’ previous home at Herschel Greer Stadium.
