Like a lot of the AAA parks, Toledo’s park more closely resembles a major-league park, albeit on a smaller scale (~10,000 seats vs. ~40,000). As you’ll see below, the stadium honors the city’s long history, which dates back to the 1880s.
To the left (or above if you’re viewing this on your mobile device), is the obligatory pop-culture reference to Jamie Farr’s Corporal Klinger character from M*A*S*H.

Inside, which I imagine must be quite necessary in the early part of the season, there were several displays referencing the history of players who passed through there pm the way to The Show.
For those wondering, the Governor’s Cup was awarded to the winner of the International League’s playoffs from 1933 to 2019. Before there were divisions and/or alliances with other AAA circuits, there were two rounds of play involving the top four teams, with 1st place playing 3rd place and 2nd play 4th. This was done to preserve/create interest after some runaway seasons.
