Known as Jerry Uht Park when it was built in 1995, UPMC Park is the smallest in the Eastern League with a listed capacity of 6,000, though Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton (6,012) and FNB Field in Harrisburg (6,187) aren’t much bigger.
Part of what makes it feel small is its downtown location combined with no berm or concourse. Just beyond left field is the facade of the arena in which the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, which makes the short porch (316′) look even shorter. (Fun fact: The Otters are one of three American teams in that league).
James Wood had recently joined the team and did not disappoint, going 2-for-5 with a HR in the 9th of a 10-3 plundering of the SeaWolves. Trey Lipscomb had six RBI while Jacob Young doubled twice and threw a runner out at home.
