Notes: Hagerstown began the scoring in the 2nd with three runs, while Kannapolis could only answer with one of their own in the bottom of the 3rd. Hagerstown added the icing on the cake in the 5th with one more run and the rest of the game was left up to the pitchers as the Suns took this one 4-1. Starter Paul Applebee went seven innings giving up seven hits, one run, and evened his won-loss record at 4-4 with the win.

GCL Nationals — OFF DAY
Notes: The G-Nats did not play, but their elimination number fell to eight with a win by the division-leading GCL Marlins. At some point this week, Yunesky Maya is expected to pitch.

Notes: In a game that was appears to have been the first of two, the second of which was suspended, Silvio Medina pitched a complete-game shutout. He evened his record at 4-4 and lowered his ERA to 2.91 while pitching seven innings and allowing four hits and two walks while striking out five. Victor Chavez led the offense with a 2-for-3 afternoon while stealing a base and driving in a run.
Looking forward to hearing about Peacock’s performance tomorrow. He’s done well so far at AA.
