Rochester got three in the 8th to avoid the shutout but lost to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 8-3. Konnor Pilkington put up a goose egg in his fifth stint as the opener. Chandler Champlain took the loss with four runs allowed over two and 2/4rds on five hits (one HR). He struck out one (1). Cayden Wallace doubled twice wile Trey Lipscomb singled and hit his 20th two-bagger to lead the Red Wings offense. The Senators took advantage of a balk with two on and one out in the 7th to snap a 1-1 tie and take the opener from the BaySox, 2-1. Isaac Lyon pitched into the 7th for the fourth time, notched his fifth quality start, and picked up his sixth win overall. Kervin Pichardo homered, singled, and stole a base while T.J. White reached base three times on a triple, hit-by-pitch, and a single to lead the Harrisburg offense. Roster moves: RHP Robert Cranz reassigned from Rochester.

Wilmington was no-hit for seven innings and barely avoided the shutout, 7-1. Liam Sullivan muddled through four innings and gave up three runs on four hits (two HR) and four walks while striking out four as he lost his second High-A game and fifth overall this season. Teo Banks broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 8th. Yeremy Cabrera ended the shutout three batters later with an RBI single. The Blue Rocks drew 10 walks and struck out 12 times. The FredNats batted around in the 1st and turned a 3-0 deficit into a 6-3 lead that they held for 10-8 win in the series opener. Noah Millikan got the Jack Morris win with five runs allowed on eight hits (two HR) and a walk over five innings. L.J. Waco picked up the save as the only Fredericksburg pitcher to not give up a run, working around a walk in the 9th. Manuel Cabrera singled twice, walked twice, scored once, and drove in two while Coy James doubled, homered, and drove in three to power Fredericksburg’s ten-hit, eleven-walk offense. Roster moves: RHP Adam Bogosian released; RHP Ryan Minckler activated from the 7-Day I.L.; RHP Adam Boucher demoted from Wilmington. Make that eight straight for the DSL Nationals with a 8-3 loss to the DSL Angels. Jesus Carrasco went the first three and let in an unearned run on five hits and a walk while striking out one. Jhondel Salas took the loss on three runs allows on two hits, one walk, and two hit batsmen. Angel Ramirez tripled while Samil Serrano and Rayniel Lache both singled to comprise the D-Nats’ three-hit barrage.
