Rochester remains in Dr. Jekyll mode as they dispatched Lehigh Valley, 11-5 for their fourth straight win. Cade Cavalli turned in his forst quality start of ’25, allowing two runs on five hits (one HR) while walking three and striking out six over six innings. Beers were on Brady Lindsly as the only man not to march in the Red Wings’ 15-hit parade, led by Robert Hassell with a single, double, two homers, and four RBI. Trey Lipscomb was nect with a single and two doubles while Andrew Pinckney reached base three times and scored twice on a walk and two singles while stealing his team-leading 17th base.

The Senators made glue out of the Rumble Ponies with a six-run 1st as they went to win for the third time in four games, 9-3. Hyun-Il Choi tossed five scoreless innings with four hits, no walks, and five whiffs to get his third “W.” The Harrisburg bullpen wobbled in the late innings until Junior Santos left the bases loaded while getting the last out in the 8th, then pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his third save. Rehabbing Paul DeJong rode the Binghamton pitchers for three singles and a double while Seaver King reached base three times on a single, double, walk. Phillip Glasser and Max Romero Jr. also went deep in the Sens’ 11-hit night.

Jackson Ross’s two-out double in the 2nd was Wilmington’s sole hit in nine RISP chances, including two in the 9th after Ross doubled again to drop a 3-2 decision to Asheville. Shinnosuke Ogasawara served up a two-run HR in the 1st to dig a 2-0 hole before giving way to Andry Lara, who gave up the third Tourist run to take the loss. He allowed five hits and three walks over four and a 1/3rd innings and struck out two. T.J. White singled three times while Caleb Lomavita drew the only walk to pace the Blue Rocks nine-hit offense.

Three FredNats pitchers combined to shut out the Red Sox on three hits, 3-0. Alexander Meckley went the first six and allowed two hits and a walk with four K’s. Merritt Beeker walked one and had a second runner reach in the 7th but both were erased as Randal Diaz snagged a line drive, threw to Carlos Tavares at first base, then Tavares threw back to Luke Dickerson at second base to complete the 4-3-6 TP. Pablo Aldonis worked around singles in both the 8th and 9th innings to earn the save. Tavares reached base twice on a single and a double as did Christhian Vaquero on a safety and a base-on-balls to lead Fredericksburg’s five-hit, one-walk barrage.

The FCL Nationals couldn’t hold a 2-1 lead in the 7th and fell to the FCL Cardinals, 3-2. Victor Farias made his third start and allowed an unearned run on one hit, two walks, and a Robles. The loss went to Tommy Kane, who allowed the last two F-Cards runs on three hits over the last three frames. Jamison Jones ended the perfect game with a walk in the 2nd and the shutout with a solo HR in the 4th. Andy Acevedo rounded out the F-Nats hit tally with single in the 7th and drew a walk. Elijah Green walked twice and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. The rest of the lineup went 0-for-19 with seven strikeouts. Roster moves: RHP Luke Johnson reassigned from Fredericksburg.

The D-Nats scraped two runs from two hits and three walks in regulation then converted the free runner with a steal of third and a sac fly to edge the D-Sox Blanco, 3-2 in eight innings. That made a winner out Juan Lopez, who struck out six over three scoreless innings of relief. Manuel Ruiz retired the side in order in the 8th to get his third save. Jesus Carrasco went the first four innings and gave up both DSL White Sox runs on five hits. He walked none, struck out one, and hit two batters. Esnaider Vargas was the sole DSL Nationals batter with two hits while Eduardo Figueroa (walk, single) and Angel Requena (2HBP) also reached base twice.

Since his demotion, in three games, Hassell has been on base 10 times with eight hits and two walks, including two homers and two doubles. That’s absolutely the way you want to see a player respond.
