Nick Schnell’s two-out, two-run single pulled the Red Wings into a 2-2 tie with the Jumbo Shrimp. That’s as close as Rochester would get as Jacksonville got those two runs back in the 7th and another in the 8th to take a 5-2 lead. Andrew Pinckney homered in the 9th to make it the 5-3 final. Chase Solesky did his part with five innings of two-run ball on four hits (one HR) and four walks while striking out two. Marquis Grissom Jr. took the loss as the first of three Red Wings relievers to give up a run. Rochester marched to an 11-hit parade with four different players singling twice but drew only one walk.

Rain shortened this five and half innings with Chesapeake blanking Harrisburg on one hit, 3-0. Bryce Conley started, finished, and lost with all three BaySox runs allowed on two homers and five hits total. He walked two and struck out three. Phillip Glasser singled to lead off the 4th, stole second, and went to third on a flyout to right. Max Romero Jr. was hit by a pitch in the 5th to become the second of the two Sens to reach base.

Andry Lara’s second rehab outing went even better than the first as the 22-y.o. Venezuelan grilled the Spartanburgers for four scoreless innings in an 8-0 shutout for the Blue Rocks. Lara allowed two hits, one walk, and sttuck out six. Wander Arias retired nine of ten batters face to earn the win while Jared Simpson walked three but did not allow a hit over the last two frames. T.J. White doubled, homered, and drove in three to lead the Blue Rocks offense.
Fredericksburg vs. Fayetteville – PPD
Game Four will have to wait until today as the FredNats and Woodpeckers were rained out last night. They’ll shoot to make it up tomorrow with a twi-night doubleheader. Roster moves: OF Francisco Barbieri reassigned from the FCL.

The DSL Angels scored in each of the first four innings to build a 10-3 lead and cruised to an 11-4 win over the DSL Nationals. Jesus Carrasco made his second start and was smited for nine runs on 11 hits and two walks over three innings for the loss. Eddie Marmolejos singled twice and doubled once while Juan Obispo and Marconi German both went 2-for-3 with a run scored to pace the D-Nats attack.
Brady House is on a 13-game hitting streak. He’s getting close to promotion. Just wish he wasn’t on an 11-game walkless streak.
Great to see Lara making strong rehab progress. People seem to forget that he’s only 22, as in just a year older than Sykora. He’s only #22 in the BA updated organization list, which seems quite on the low side.
