Carlos Romero was charged with his second blown save and his first loss, with a dishonorable mention to Marquis Grissom Jr., who let in one inherited runner and four more – three on a home run. Starter Andrew Alvarez saw his six and a 1/3rd innings of one-run pitching (a season-best) wasted for the no-decision. Drew Millas had the only other hit for the Red Wings, who went 0-for-3 with RISP and left on three baseunners. Roster moves: UT Paul Witt activated from 7-Day I.L.; C Andrew Knizner exercised escape release clause in his contract.

Narando and ( Shop less @) Ross.
I’ve generally been in the camp of not rushing House, maybe even more so after seeing how much Crews has struggled, but with the big club looking pretty dismal in general (at least when not playing the O’s), I’m thinking that House will be promoted no later than the All-Star break. His power is coming. Just wish he’d learn to take a walk.
Had to look it up: Stevenson will turn 31 on June 1. Wow. He’s only had 25 games in the majors since leaving the Nats in 2021. He’s made stops in Japan and Mexico to keep the dream alive. What a lifer. One would assume that he’ll transition into coaching soon.
He has a career .668 in the majors but .796 at AAA, the true definition of a AAAA player.
