Career Stats
House split time between AA (75G) and AAA (54G) to play a career-high 129G. That should put durability questions to rest, but now there’s concerns about his ability to hit hard velocity and advanced pitching. Degensively, scouts believe he’s made the transition and believe he’ll be able to handle 3B at the MLB level. Given the Nats’ struggles to replace Anthony Rendon, House will be given every chance to be his successor.
Cayden Wallace   Cayden Wallace
Born: 10/09/01
Ht. 5’11”
Wt. 205
Bats: R
Throws: R
Career Stats
An oblique injury shelved Wallace for six weeks and sapped his power and producation upon return. He played only three games in the AFL so there may be some concerns that the injuery could linger into ’25. His assignment might be a bellwether (AA if still recovereing, AAA if healthy). He’s line-drive hitter at the plate and an above-average glove in the field.
Jorgelys Mota   Jorgelys Mota
Born: 06/05/05
Ht. 6’3″
Wt. 170
Bats: R
Throws: R
Career Stats
Mota returned to the FCL to begin ’24 and struggled to get off the Interstate, posting a dramatically worse OPS in ’24 (.536) than ’23 (.857). Something must’ve clicked by midseason, as the 19-y.o. was sent back to the southern ‘Burg and was only a tick below Lg. Avg. (.649 vs. .661) in 29 games. A third tour of Low-A seems likely given that he doesn’t turn 20 until June.
