Likewise, White’s presence is largely a factor of his DOB, which is never a very good yardstick (see: Rowell, Billy) for prospects. As semi-predicted in this space a year ago, White was shifted to 1B from the OF, where he committed 13E in 63G. Like ’22, White had strong outings every other month in ’23, which is a good sign (i.e., he’s adjusting to the adjustments) but needs to even it out in ’24. | |

Given that he could race Sandy Leon and a pregnant woman and still finish fourth, that listing of 175 lbs is probably closer to 195. As scouts feared, the K rate jumped to nearly 28%. Fortunately, the walk rate improved even more dramatically, going from 9 in 50G to 44 in 92G. | |
