Ther win went to Tommy Romero, who stranded two while getting out of the third then let in two over the next three innings. Gerson Moreno wobbled in the 9th but held the lead for his 9th save. Brady Lindsly went deep for the first time at AAA to get things started in the 2nd while Matt Adams hit his 15th of the season to cap off a four-run 4th. Harrisburg got 11 men on base and pushed across one as they fell 2-1 in 11 innings to Reading. Mitchell Parker was on the mound in the 9th, going for the complete-game shutout but his 92nd pitch was deposited into the Senators bullpen to tie the game and hand the 23-y.o. southpaw his eighth no-decision. He gave up three hits total, walked one, and struck out nine. Trey Lipscomb reached base on two singles and a walk but was caught stealing third in the 6th after Terone Harris drove in the lone Harrisburg run. That would be the one hit in 14 RISP chances as the Sens left on 10 baserunners.

Yohandy Morales singled, walked, and doubled while driving in four while Branden Boisserie had the same 2-for-4 mark with an RBI double and a run scored as Wilmington racked up 10 hits, five in 15 scoring chances.

He walked one and struck out three. After Pedro González let in three over three, Bubba Hall (3IP) and Moises Diaz (2IP) combined for five scoreless, with Diaz getting the “W.” Jared Simpson let in the free runner with back-to-back singles, then struck out the next three batters for his first career save. Parker penned his best gem of 23 !
Wow Lords ErA under four
Which Adon outing was more impressive this summer ? The one in Cincy or Miami ???
JR 5 Frames pitched 4 ER 7 Ks
Thoughts observations ???
Just a reminder that Parker, Knowles, and Lara all will be Rule 5-eligible this winter, as we discussed earlier this week. Parker in particular is making a strong case to be added to the 40-man. Herz has as well.
Tough week for the Harrisburg young-gun hitters vs. what seems to have been quality pitching from the Phils. Crews and Wood K’d three times last night.
The Nats would be insane to add Lara. He’s struggling in A+. No team could stash him away on their major league roster for an entire season. It would be the Jeremy de la Rosa silliness all over again.
Parker and Herz are shoe ins, while Knowles is less obvious, but will still ultimately get added, as it’s not like we have a ton of upper level relief help beyond him.
Wood almost tied the game in the 11th when he ripped a ball down the 1st base line. The umpire called foul ball and Wood, the 1st base coach, DeShields and the rest of the Sens were incredulous. It was a tough ending for Parker as he dominated. Post game show said he retired 17 in a row at one point.
Parker and Herz have the most enjoyable winups in the system, gotta love the funky ones.
Yoyo and Pinckney still have not contracted Wilmington-itis.
Windups. Sorry.
Had wrong guy making jump from AA, not Crews but Jacob Young called up to Majors. Congrats!
Jacob Young was not in AA. He was promoted to Rochester on August 22nd. Good Luck to Jacob!!
