“Inclement weather and unplayable field conditions” were cited for pulling the plug on the series finale between Rochester and Lehigh Valley. The two teams do not meet again in the first half. This is a new wrinkle for 2023 as both the International and Pacific Coast Leagues will determine their champions with a coin flip best-of-three series, followed by a single-game playoff in Las Vegas to determine the AAA National Championship.

That’s almost unbelievable that Lehigh Valley doesn’t play the Red Wings again for three months. With only 9 other teams to play, it’s pretty crazy that they won’t see again Lehigh Valley until July.
