The IronPigs struck first with a run in the top of the 4th. Rochester was able to answer Lehigh Valley in the bottom of the 4th to tie but went hitless over the last four innings in a 2-1 loss. Jake Irvin gave up the first run on a solo HR and four hits total over four and a 1/3rd innings. He walked two, struck out four, and hit a batter. Matt Cronin let in the game-winner on three hits in the 8th inning to suffer the loss. Jeter Downs doubled to lead off the 4th, took third on a groundout to second, and scored on a wild pitch. The next batter, Stone Garrett, singled and stole second but was stranded to end the 4th. Chad Pinder led off the 5th with a single for the final Red Wings baserunner as the IronPigs retired the next 14 batters in order.
I’m sure that we’d have a better idea about the AA roster for Delino and the Wilmington mixture since the AAA MASH unit list didn’t help kick off the season on firm footing
My guess is that Jody Barley and Paul Witt join Delino / Sens bit I’d love to see V Peña have his sapped used by Delino .
Can’t wait to see what Dan she fellow 3-31 birthday guy Frankie T does on Vity Isle once the weather reaches post 8-31 temps .
There are number us guys on the bubble of getting a pink slip in the A bracket .

Looks like Yadiel Hernandez will be catching SW or Frontier from Rochester to Reagan since Dickerson might end up on the same MASH unit we see on AAA

Yadiel got DFA’d and isn’t on the 40-man. Garrett is and would be the more likely call-up.

Which pitcher has better clean smooth mechanics to stay away from TJ? Dollander or Skenes ?
Decent first outing for Irvin. It will be interesting to see how the AAA rotation shakes out the pecking order for potential call-ups to MLB rotation. Not a good outing for Cronin, although one shouldn’t be too critical of him (or of Adon, who’s from even farther south) for not being too loose pitching when it’s in the 40s.
