Lindsly was largely considered to have been drafted in 2020 as a courtesy to Cade Cavalli. While he was moved up to AA and did not follow Cavalli to AAA, his 41 total games played with no injuries to speak of tells you what you need to know. ↓This guy↓ got the reps when they were both at High-A and it’s hard to say that the same won’t happen in 2022 if they’re on the same roster again.
Israel Pineda   Israel Pineda

Pineda’s DOB is still his strongest asset, but his power has improved (as it usually does with age) and scouts say he’s now recognizing breaking balls and laying off those out of the zone, though both his BA and OBP were lower than in 2019. Also lower: his passed ball rate (9 in 479 innings vs. 26 in 709⅓). His CS% remains very strong (40%) but will probably fall lower as he goes higher up the ladder.

Diaz, a former “DSL Guy,” improved enough to not repeat the GCL and was one of several catchers at Low-A. His offensive strength remains centered in his OBP – still robust at .361 despite a .217 BA – but the defense was atrocious, both to the eye (yes, I saw him) and on paper (10E in 340⅔ inn.) A likely candidate to repeat the level.
