On the plus side, Luis Reyes put 11 runners on base and kept seven from scoring. On the other hand, the Rochester offense managed just five baserunners total and only one scored, accounting for the “1” in the 7-1 loss to Buffalo in the series finale. Reyes was charged with “only” four runs over five innings but lost for the second time in as many starts at AAA. He struck out seven. Jake Noll ended the shutout with a solo HR in the 7th while Ali Castillo and Derek Dietrich both singled to account for the Red Wings’ three-hit barrage. Roster moves: OF Lane Thomas recalled to Washington; RHP Nick Goody released.

The Senators picked up where they left off on Saturday night and jumped on Fisher Cats starter Reilly Hovis for five runs in the 1st as they cruised to an 11-5 win and a 3-3 series split. Seth Romero reverted to the mean and labored through four innings on 90 pitches, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six. Carlos Navas tried to let New Hampshire back in giving up one in the 5th and two in the 6th, but Harrisburg answered with two in the 5th and four in the 7th. Osvaldo Duarte was the beer man in a 15-hit barrage, which saw six batters collect multiple hits. Jake Alu (#4), K.J. Harrison (#12), and Jakson Reetz (#4) each homered as the trio combined for six runs and seven RBI.

Wilmington busted out for six in the 4th break a 3-3 tie as the Blue Rocks ran their winning streak to five games with a 12-5 demolition of Brooklyn. Starter Mitchell Parker was ineffective, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks while walking two and hitting a batter. He struck out five in his third no-decision at High-A. Malvin Peña allowed an unearned run in two innings of relief to get credit for the win, his first of the year. Drew Mendoza had multiple extra-base hits for the second time this season as he doubled in two in the 3rd and homered in the 6th. Jack Dunn and Jeremy Ydens both went 3-for-5 to lead the 17-hit parade in which every Wilmington batter marched.

The F-Nats shut out the S-Sox for the second time this series, 4-0 as they took the series, 4-2. Matt Merrill went the first five innings, allowing three hits and striking out four. The win went to Carlos Romero as the first man out of the ‘pen with two scoreless innings, a feat matched by Tomás Alastre, which earned him the save. Kevin Strohschein broke up the Star Trek convention with an RBI single that plated Ricardo Méndez, who reached base three times with a walk and two singles. Fredericksburg finished with six hits and four walks total as they won their third series of the season. Roster moves: RHP Tanner Driskill, OF Zach Cornell released; RHP Carlos Romero activated from suspended list.

FCL Nationals (12-18, 5th Place FCL East, 6GB)
Rain continues to dog the FCL Nats as they were rained out for the fifth and sixth times to close out the week. It’s another stretch of five games in four days (weather permitting) starting tomorrow – all on the road (or as the road team) with a doubleheader on Thursday.

DSL Nationals (13-11, 3nd place DSL South, 4½ GB)
Despite a 3-2 week last week, the D-Nats fell back another ½ game in the DSL South. This week it’s intra-divisional games against the 6th-place DSL Yankees1 today and tomorrow, an off day on Wednesday, and a pair against the first-place D-Rockies before closing out the week against the Northwest Division’s last-place D-Astros.
