Happy Holidays
Today is the beginning of Festivus, a time for the airing of grievances, but really hasn’t that been a leitmotif for 2020?
But it’s roughly a midpoint in the year-end holidays, with Chanukah and Solstice past us, Christmas, Boxing Day, and Kwanzaa coming soon, and let’s not forget the unveiling of the 2021 Banished Words List.
Unlike years past, I don’t wish that you’ve arrived at where you want to be, unless that place is your home. Because the latter is how you will stay safe.
“Be grateful” is still on the list. If you’ve got a job, a roof over your head, and food to eat — then you’ve got more than (too) many others do.
I hope “be happy” is still possible, even if staying safe prevents you from being with your extended family (or unable to be away from your immediate family ;).
And now more than ever, kindness is what we all need.
Best wishes to all involved with this blog for a healthy and happy 2021.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to Luke and all those who provide insight.
To quote a famous song, I’ll second that emotion!
The farm just lost 2 players; Wil Crowe & Eddie Yean have been traded to Pittsburgh. My only question is what have we lost in Yean. I just don’t know.
