Aldrem Corredor Born: 10/27/1995 Ht. 6’0″ Wt. 202 Bats: L Throws: L Career Stats |
As predicted, the Nats sent Corredor back to Hagerstown for more seasoning and he responded with a career year – a .289/.353/.412 line in 56 games and an even better line of .311/.360/.457 in 59 games at Potomac. He’s fairly mobile for his size, and seems more suited for 1B than LF, where he played 29 games for the Suns (but none for the P-Nats). If the power continues to develop, he could see AA by midseason.
Blake Chisolm Born: 7/22/96 Ht. 6’5″ Wt. 210 Bats: L Throws: R Career Stats |
Yes, he was old for the level (28th Rd. Pick out of Sam Houston State), but this is where I remind folks that the Nationals have very little depth at 1B. Thus, someone with size, a left-handed bat, and a little power, and a .907 OPS in 40 games can make the list. The soap opera name is just gravy.
Leandro Emiliani Born: 3/22/00 Ht. 6’1″ Wt. 180 Bats: L Throws: L Career Stats |
Signed out of the Dominican Prospect Talent Academy in 2017, the 18-y.o. IFA bypassed the DSL and played 43 games in the GCL, splitting time between 1B, RF, and LF. He was a shade under lg. avg. (.690 OPS vs. .692) but led the team in HRs (3) and doubles (12). Best bet for 2019: Auburn. |
