After battling back from a 4-1 deficit to tie it a 5-5, the Bats went to town on Wander Suero in the 7th for three runs and five hits for an 8-5 win over the Chiefs. Edwin Jackson got the start but needed 71 pitches just to get eight outs as he was strafed for five runs on six hits and a walk. Rafael Bautista singled and tripled and drove in a run while Bengie Gonzalez doubled twice and scored twice to lead the Chiefs offense. Roster move: RHP Trevor Gott recalled to Washington.

Hartford got to Harrisburg for two runs in the 1st and 4th to take a 4-0 lead en route to a 5-1 lead. Wirkin “For the Weekend” Estevez took the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven. Taylor Gushue and Daniel Johnson both had two singles but the Senators struggled in the clutch, going 2-for-12 with RISP and leaving on 12 baserunners.

Fear not, Juan Soto just had the night off on Friday as he returned to the lineup last night and smacked a three-run HR to lead Hagerstown past Lexington, 5-3. The 19-y.o. phenom also tripled, walked, and gunned down a runner at home plate. Carlos Acevedo went the first four innings but was knocked for two runs on five hits, including a home run. A.J. Bogucki finished the game for the win. He pitched five innings, with one run allowed on two hits and a walk while striking out five. Luis Garcia led the Suns hit parade with a 3-for-5 night. Roster moves: C Nic Perkins place on the 7-day DL; C Adderling Ruiz activated from the 7-Day DL.
