Hill won his 5th game while going six innings, with the one run allowed on four hits and a walk while striking out four. Christopher Bostick and Matt Skole both drove in two as the Chiefs made the most of their limited chances to score five times on four hits and two walks, with a little “help” from two Bison errors.

Brady, Drew Ward, and Andrew Stevenson each had two hits in the Sens’ nine-hit attack.

Justin DeFratus took the loss as Binghamton converted a hit batsman to lead off the 10th into the gamewinner with a sacrifice and a two-out single. Four of the six Harrisburg hits went for doubles, including Drew Ward, who also walked and was the sole batter to reach base twice for the visitors.

Good to see Glover and Gott throwing a strong inning apiece at AAA. I hope both are ready to help the big club in the bullpen come September.

Also good to see Ward and Stevenson finding a bit of a groove at Harrisburg after rough starts there.

Was thinking the same thing with Ward & Stevenson. The biggest jump in the minors has always been from High A to AA, so I have no problem with Ward & Stevenson’s adjustment issues.
They’ll be fine and they’re both so young for that level.

Max Schrock is still doing it at Potomac, with 152 AB’s, his OPS is .862.

Ward would have been a draftee out of college this year, so he’s well ahead of most of his fellow 21-year-olds. Sure would like to see more of that HR power he flashed at Potomac earlier this year, though. He’s not going to make the big leagues at a corner infield position without it.
