Syracuse led 2-0 and 4-2 before giving up runs in the 6th, 7th, and 8th to fall behind 6-4. Matt den Dekker led off the 9th with a single, took second on a wild pitch, and went to third while Matt Skole, who drew a walk, took second on a sacrifice. den Dekker scored on Caleb Ramsey’s RBI single while Skole was gunned down at the plate to end the rally. Taylor Hill started and allowed three runs on nine hits, including a solo HR in his sixth and final inning. Hill walked none and struck out one. Nick Masset took the loss with two runs let in on one hit and two walks in his single inning pitched.

The SeaDogs bullpen collapsed again in the 9th, walking four in the inning, including three in a row after a walk and a sacrifice put the gamewinner into scoring position to give the Senators a 5-4 win. Austen Williams got the start and gave up all four runs on five hits, including a solo HR in the 6th, his final inning of work. He walked one and struck out two. John Simms followed with two scoreless and Koda Glover worked around a hit in the 9th, which earned him a win, his first at AA. Tablesetters Rafael Bautista and Wilmer Difo both went 1-for-3 with a run scored to pace the Harrisburg offense, which drew nine walks total, led by Brian Jeroloman with three.

Somehow this game took less than three hours despite 16 walks issued as Potomac outlasted Salem, 9-6 to take the series, 2-1. “The Weekend” came early for Wirkin Estevez, who started but was chased after three innings. Salem batters staked him for four runs on three hits, three via a homer in the 3rd, while walking four and setting down one (1) on strikes. Matt Spann followed with three innings of one-run relief to earn the win, his first, while R.C. Orlan pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save, his fifth. Alec Keller was a HR shy of the cycle as he went 3-for-4 with five RBI to lead the ten-hit, nine-walk offense. Roster moves: C Jake Lowery reassigned from Auburn and placed on the 7-Day DL.

The Suns scored three early and got five shutout innings from starter Matt DeRosier. The bullpen did what it could to waste that effort but the batters bailed them out with a five-run 7th en route to a 9-8 Hagerstown win over Lexington. DeRosier struck out five, walked none, and gave up three hits in his no-decision. Tommy Peterson notched the dreaded blown-save-win with three runs coughed up on hour hits over two innings. Kelvin Gutierrez drove in four while going 2-for-4, a line matched by Max Schrock and Jakson Reetz as the Suns pounded out 10 hits total.
