This may sound odd, but I think there’s something to the lack of a massive “reorg.” The Nationals claimed they wanted continuity with their longtime coaches when they sent Matt Williams and his staff packing in October. With just one new hire to the primary trio of managers and coaches — longtime minor-leaguer Josh Johnson, who spent six of his 12 seasons with the Nationals — we’re seeing the action that backs up those words.
Thanks. This is 10x easier to decipher than the Post’s list.
The one thing missing here is to me the most important one. The Nats still have Paul ‘Magic Man’ Menhart as the pitching co-ordinator. I think he really is the key to the pitchers development.
Looks like the decision came down between
The promise in Head as manager and
What Barrett really wanted to do in 2016???
No word on Chad Tracy job assignment ?
Oliver Perez seals closed the chapman chatter .
Why. Perez isn’t that good. O’Day might seal closed the Chapman chatter. It will be interesting to see how Koda Glover progresses this year. Next year might be wide open for him on the big clubs roster.
Jeff, i was just about to post a question about Michael Barrett – did he not do a good job as manager or did the organizaion feel he was more valuable as the ctahcing coordinator?
I would guess the latter.
Makes one wonder if he could scout in Georgis too
Good to see that Rizzo and company tacitly recognized that it was the lack of talent rather than coaching skills that led to last year’s across the board underachievement. It is hard to win when there are so few good hitters in the system.
Could this be a scratched out list Mike
Maddux has in a napkin @ home today ?

The Storen deal should haul something back
Trying to create chatter.
