Syracuse managed just three hits, matching their error tally, as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre took the game, 4-1, and the series, 3-1. Taylor Jordan pitched into the 6th but committed a crucial error on a sacrifice bunt attempt to abet the RailRiders three-run rally. The 26-y.o. finished with four runs allowed on six hits and a walk over five and a third innings. The Chiefs scored their lone run in the 4th on a double-play grounder after loading the bases with single and a pair of walks. They got the tying run to the plate in the 8th after a walkd and an error but veterans Tony Gwynn Jr. (groundout), Mark Minicozzi (K), and Ian Stewart (K) each failed to drive in either baserunner.

After struggling to get clutch hits on Friday and Saturday, the Sens broke through on Sunday, exploding for four runs in the 8th and three in the 9th to turn a 3-2 nailbiter into a 10-2 laugher. Austin Voth picked up his second win, holding Binghamton to one run on five hits over six innings with no walks and five strikeouts. Pedro Severino reached base five times with four singles and a walk and scored three times to lead the Harrisburg offense, which was 5-for-10 with RISP and left on just seven.

The Hillcats finally stifled the P-Nats bats, holding them to just six hits as they prevented a four-game sweep with a 4-1 win. Matt Spann went seven innings but was charged with all four Lynchurg runs on 10 hits to suffer his second loss of the season. Brandon Miller (two singles) and Drew Ward (single, walk) were the only Potomac hitters to reach base twice.

Two Suns pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout as the Hagerstown took the game, 5-0 and the series, 3-1. Phillips Valdez scattered five hits over six innings to earn the win whole Ryan Ullman issued just a walk over the final three innings to notch the save. “Orange” Marmolejos-Diaz singled, doubled, and walked while Jeff Gardner singled twice. The Blue Claws “helped” the Suns score five times on just seven hits with two errors, two wild pitches, and a balk.

Trea Turner Update
Turner homered and doubled and drove in both San Antonio runs in a 9-2 loss to Springfield, as he hit safely for the seventh consecutive game.
