Corey Brown’s three-run homer off former National Zach Duke capped a four-run rally in the 8th for a 6-1 Syracuse lead. The bullpen nearly blew it, giving up four in the top of the 9th, but held on for 6-5 win. Tanner Roark was a two-way threat, pitching six strong innings with one run allowed on six hits and two walks while striking out four. At the plate, Roark was 2-for-2 with an RBI double. Tyler Moore was the second Chief with multiple hits (2-for-4) as Syracuse got 10 hits total.

RBI singles by Ricky Hague and Brian Goodwin capped a 6-5 comeback win for Harrisburg, snapping a four-game losing streak. Nathan Karns struck out 10 and walked three over six innings, but also gave up four runs on six hits, including a home run. Matt Grace got the win in relief, his fourth for the Senators, while Aaron Barrett pitched around two one-out singles for his 20th save. Jimmy Van Ostrand led the Harrisburg hit parade with three singles, followed by Carlos Rivero and Hague, who both singled, doubled, and scored a run. Roster moves: RHPs A.J. Cole, Richie Mirowski promoted from Potomac; RHP Blake Treinen placed on 7-Day DL.

Potomac closed out its seven-game homestand with a 3-0 shutout of Salem. Brian Rauh got the win and allowed all three Red Sox hits over five innings, walking three and striking out one for the win. David Fischer turned in three perfect innings for the hold, while Robert Benincasa got his eighth save in eight chances (18-for-18 overall) with a 1-2-3 ninth. Potomac collected five hits and five walks, with Adrian Sanchez leading the hit column with a 2-for-3 effort. Roster move: RHP Paul Demny reassigned from Harrisburg.

Greensboro rallied for two in the bottom of the 9th for a 3-2 win over Hagerstown. Gilberto Mendez let in an inherited runner on a double and the game winner on a two-out single for the blown-save loss. Starter Nick Lee got the no-decision with a run given up on seven hits, no walks and six strikeouts over six innings. The Suns were held to just two hits — doubles by Khayyan Norfork and Narciso Mesa — but cashed in two of the six walks drawn.

The Crosscutters got to Jake Johansen early and held off the Doubledays late for a 3-2 win over Auburn. Johansen pitched a season-high five frames, but gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out three. He was the losing pitcher. Silvio Medina finished the game with one run over the last four innings. Auburn notched nine hits but left eight runners on. Isaac Ballou led the charge with two singles and a solo home run in the 3rd. Roster moves: RHP Matt Derosier reassigned from the GCL, C Erick Fernandez released, RHP Joel Barrientos activated from the DL.

The G-Nats jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a pair of two-run innings as they won their sixth straight, 7-2 over the G-Marlins. Jefry Rodriguez got the start, but couldn’t go the requisite five for the win, falling two outs short while giving up three hits and three walks while fanning two. Adderling Ruiz, Shawn Pleffner, and Drew Ward each had two hits as the G-Nats collected nine altogether.

The D-Nats’ five-game win streak ended with a 6-2 loss to the DSL Cardinals. Starter Luis Reyes took the loss, his second in three starts, with four runs allowed on six hits and a walk though he struck out five over three innings. Leadoff man Thomas Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a double, walk, and a run scored as the D-Nats were limited to just three hits and two walks total.
