Rochester only had six hits but four of them left the yard as the Red Wings doubled up Buffalo, 6-3. DJ Herz took his rehab tour to upstate NY and gave up an unearned run on a hit and two walks over two-plus innings. Jack Sinclair also pitched two innings but did not give up a run to earn the win while Gus Varland worked around a walk in the 9th to earn the save. Cayden Wallace and Liover Peguero homered once while Leandro Peguero went deep twice to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: LHP DJ Herz MLB rehab transferred from Harrisburg; RHP Luis Perales recalled to Washington; LHP Jake Bird optioned from Washington.

The Senators scored in each of their first three “ups” to build a 4-0 lead. That proved to be too small a lead for the Harrisburg ‘pen, which gave up four including three in the 8th. Elijah Green drew a leadoff walk in the Harrisburg half of the 8th, took second on a ball that went forward of Caleb Lomavita for a single and another safety by Sam Brown to secure the 5-4 win. That made a winner out of Sandy Gaston who had blown his fifth save while Jhancarlos Lara wobbled through 9th (two walks) but got the save, his first of the year. Green also doubled and tripled while Brown added a double and Nick Mitchell singled twice to lead the Sens’ 12-hit parade. Roster moves: RHP Thomas Schultz activated from the 7-Day I.L.

Wilmington sent 12 men to the plate in the 4th and had six of them score as the Blue Rocks boiled the BlueClaws, 11-6. Tucker Biven dug a two-run hole to open the game, giving up three hits, a walk, and hitting a batter. Gus Hughes got the benefit of the rally after giving up run on a hit, a walk, and two balks over two innings. The save went to Yeuris Jimenez after stranding two while getting out of the and then walking the bases loaded in the 9th but keeping Jersey Shore off the scoreboard. Angel Feliz, Luke Dickerson, Eli Willits, and Yeremy Cabrera each had two hits and combined for two doubles, two triples, eight runs, and five RBI. Roster moves: RHP Mikey Tepper placed on 7-Day I.L. Three FredNats pitchers combined to notch the tenth shutout of the year for Fredericksburg, 3-0 on three hits against the Shorebirds. Put down your beverage: It was the first time Fredericksburg shut out Delmarva this season. Juan Reyes went the first five frames and allowed one hit, walked none, and struck out four to earn his second win. Newcomers Tony Neuback (3IP) and Tyler (1IP) finished the game to earn the hold and save respectively. Rafael Ramirez Jr. accounted for all three runs with his seventh circle clout in the 4th. Hunter Hines and Juan Cruz both singled to round out the three-hit barrage. Roster moves: RHP Ryan Minckler placed on Development list (eff. 8/25)..
