Led by five no-hit innings by Luis Perales, four Rochester pitchers combined to shut out Lehigh Valley, 3-0 on four hits. Perales walked four and struck out three while winning his first careeer game at AAA. The save went to Eddie Yean, his sixth, as he stranded two while getting out of the 8th and setting the side down in order in the 9th. Yoyo Morales doubled twice and singled once as did Dylan Crews, Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin, and Abimelec Ortiz.

Jackson Kent made but one mistake in seven innings, a breaking ball that didn’t quite break enough as the Curve’s Duce Gourson hit it out for the 1-0 win. Three Altoona pitchers combined to limit the Senators to five singles – three by Seaver King, and one each by Cortland Lawson and Sam Petersen. Robert Cranz worked around a pair of two-out singles for scoreless 8th in his AA debut. Roster moves: RHP Robert Cranz promoted from Wilmington; C Nate Rombach reassigned from Wilmington.

Winston-Salem put up crooked numbers in three of its first four “ups to build an 8-1 lead and held off Wilmington to hand the Blue Rocks a 12-9 loss. Josh Randall was hyphenated for eight runs on seven hits (one HR) and five walks. He struck out six in his second loss. Devin Fitz-Gerald singled once and homered twice while Ethan Petry and Hunter Hinesboth went 2-for-5 to lead the Wilmington offense. Roster moves: C Kevin Bazzell activated from the 7-Day I.L.

The FredNats took advantage of three errors and a balk to score four times on just two hits in a 4-0 shutout of the RidgeYaks. Mike Tepper was perfect for three frames, striking out four. Julian Tonghini got the win with two hits allowed over two and 2/3rds with two strikeouts. Nick “Power to The” Peoples broke up the no-hitter and the Star Trek convention on the Fredericksburg scoreboard with his 5th HR to lead off the 6th. Luke Dickerson singled after an Eli Willits walk for the second and final hit for the FredNats.

The FCL Marlins broke out for four in the 4th as they harpooned FCL Nationals, 8-3 for the F-Nats’ third straight loss. Marlon De La Cruz was the first pitcher and let in an unearned run on two walks and five whiffs. Brenner Cox made his pro appearance as a pitcher but was charged with two runs when Colby Frieda didn’t know something was going on* and let in both inherited runners along with two of his own. Cox walked two and struck out two and gave up one hit. Manuel Cabrera singled and hit a solo HR while Carlos Tavares and Marconi German both singled to lead the FCL Nationals offense. * If you get this reference, it may time for your second colonoscopy

    How about Yo-Yo? He is playing 3B at ROC, but maybe can help the big club at 1B? Would like to see Cayden get it going again.
