After blowing a 2-1 lead in the 9th, Rochester busted out for five in the 11th to win their fifth straight, 7-2. Chandler Champlain, no relation to the Lake, gave up a run on a solo HR and five hits total over five and 2/3rds and left with a 2-1 lead. Cole Henry got the next four outs for the hold, but Eddie Yean let in the equaliser in the 9th for his third blown save. Lipscomb doubled in Robert Hassell to take a 3-2 lead and beat a rundown down between thid and home to go up 4-2. Abimelec Ortiz homered to put the game out of reach, which made a winner out of Trevor Gott for working a scoreless 10th. Roster moves: None. Wait. What?

The Senators got single runs in the 1st, 5th, and 8th innings in a 3-1 win over the RubberDucks. Connor Van Scoyoc picked up his 5th win while pitching into the 6th for the first time in nearly two years (when he was last a starter). The 26-y.o. journeyman gave up the Akron run on four hits with nary a walk and five whiffs. Thomas Schultz, Robert Cranz, and Erick Mejia combined for three and 2/3rds scoreless with Schults and Cranz earning holds and Mejia getting his 5th save. Leandro Pineda singled twice while Max Romero Jr. walked twice and homered once to lead the Harrisburg offense.

With a little help from the rain, Wilmington edged Jersey Shore, 3-2 in a game shortened to five innings. Isaac Lyon went three-plus innings, stranding five baserunners (4H, 1BB) while striking out three. Pablo Aldonis was credited with the win despite being charged with both BlueClaws runs, which were let in by Brady Hill while he pitched the 5th. Randal Diaz and Eljah Green both hit their fifth double with Diaz driving in two.

Juan Cruz drove in all three runs in Fredericksburg’s fifth straight win, 3-2 over Fayetteville. Liam Sullivan went the first four innings, allowing no runs, one hit, no walks, and six whiffs. Johan Otanez was credited with the win for a scoreless 6th while Jacob Roberts wobbled through the 9th with the second run let in on two hits but got his fourth save. Cruz hit a two-run double in the 2nd and hit a solo HR in the 6th while Gavin Fien reached base three times on a pair of walks and a single to lead the FredNats attack.
