Rochester went deep twice in the 6th to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 5-3 lead, only to lose it in the 7th. Back-to-back walks and a sacrifice put two runners in scoring position for Tres Barrera, who drove them both in for the winning margin, 7-5. Andrew Alvarez matched Mets phenom Jonah Tong K-for-K (eight total) but walked three and gave up three runs over four and 2/3rds. Eddie Yean retired all five batters he faced but got the blown save by letting in the tying run on a sac fly and the “W” as the pitcher of record. Erik Tolman worked around a walk in the 9th to earn the save. Trey Lipscomb and Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin both walked and homered to power the Red Wings offense. Roster moves: RHP Luke Young promoted from Harrisburg.

No such Luckham for Kyle as Seawolves plundered the 26-y.o. journeyman for eight runs on 12 hits in a 9-1 smackdown that extended the Sens’ skid to four games. An error and a passed ball “helped” Harrisburg avoid the shutout as they pestered Erie pitchers for two singles (Seaver King, Elijah Nunez) and a double (Max Romero, Jr.) while drawing four walks.

Leuris Portorreal went the first three and 2/3rds and gave up a run on three hits, no walks, and three whiffs. Cesar Rojas saw his “L” turn to a “W” as he closed out the 9th without another run let in.
