The Red Wings batters outpaced their relievers as the former scored eight runs in the middle innings and the latter gave up seven in a 10-8 win over the IronPigs. Riley Cornelio turned in five innings of one-run ball on three hits and two walks while striking out six to earn the win. Eddie Yean came on with two on and nobody out in the 9th and let in both runs but got the the requisite outs to register the save. Robert Hassell singled three times and doubled once while Abimilec Ortiz singled and homere to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: RHP Montes de Oca placed on the 7-Day I.L.

SSDL as Harrisburg blew a 9-1 lead after two and needed extra innings to down Akron, 13-12. Shinnosuke Ogasawara struck out a career-high nine batters but also let in four runs (three earned) on four hits (one HR) and one walk over five and a 1/3rd innings. Rule 5 pickup Sandy Gaston put up goose eggs in the 9th and 10th innings to get the “W.” Sam Peterson doubled, homered, walked, and drove in four while Cayden Wallace reached base four times on a walk, two to singles, and a homer and also hit a sac fly to plate two. The Sens racked up 14 hits and 8 walks and went 6-for-19 with RISP.

The Blue Rocks rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take a 4-2 lead but the Renegades got two in the 4th to even it up. That’s where it stayed until extras when the two teams traded single runs in the 10th before Wilmington got three and held off Hudson Valley for an 8-6 win. Josh Randall got the start but needed 57 pitches to get nine outs as he let in two on three hits and a Robles. Adam Boucher got the (dreaded) blown-save-win as he let in the free runner in the 10th while Yeuris Jimenez did the same in the 11th but got the save nevertheless. Centerfielder(!) Jorgelys Mota led the Blue Rocks hit column with three singles and two RBI while Elijah Nunez and Angel Feliz comibned for four hits, four runs, two walks, and three RBI.

Fredericksburg broke open a 3-3 game with two in the 7th and four in the 8th as they ghosted the Howlers, 9-4. Landon Harmon gave up two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks over two and 1/3rds in his pro debut. Isaac Lyon and Jared Beck both let in on run over three innings to get the win and save, respectively. Ronny Cruz was a double shy of the cycle as he drove in four while Luke Dickerson singled twice, struck out twice, and stole two bases to lead the FredNats attack.
