The Red Wings bullpen blew leads of 6-2 and 7-6 to drop another one to the Tides, 8-7. Andrew Alvarez labored through three and 2/3 innings, giving up two unearned on three hits and three walks while striking out six. Zach Brzykcy gave up multiple runs for the third straight appearance, but lowered his August ERA to 47.25. Garrett Davila and Erick Mejia both notched blown saves, allowing all three inherited runners. Christian Franklin singled, homered, and drove in two while Trey Lipscomb singled, doubled, and drove in two to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: RHP Chase Solesky placed on the 7-Day I.L.

Harrisburg tied the game twice on sacrifice flies only to lose on one in the 11th, 4-3. Jake Bennett turned in five innings of one-run ball on four hits and a walk while striking out two for a no-decision. Samuel Vasquez took the loss, his first, when Johnathon Thomas gambled on his arm to catch a ball in four territory but could not throw the runner out at home in the 11th. Sam Brown singled four times, including an RBI single in the 10th to tie the game at 3-3, to lead the Senators nine-hit, seven-walk offense.

The Blue Rocks struck out 18 times as they were shut out for 12th time, 8-0 on four hits. Sean Paul Liñan was strafed for three runs on four hits and two walks over three innings. Travis “Sunday” Sthele went the next four and coughed up five more. Armando Cruz broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 3rd while Jared McKenzie singled twice and Nate Rombach drew the sole walk on the night for Wilmington.

Fredericksburg scored seven times on three hits, making Myrtle Beach pay for 11 walks as they eked out a 7-6 win in extras. Luke Johnson gave up the first four runs on five hits and four walks over four and 2/3rds while striking out four. Johan Otanez gave up the tying run in the 8th but pitched a scoreless 9th. Two walks in the 10th loaded the bases for Enmanuel Ramirez to drive in the winning run on a sacrifice fly and give Otanez the blown-save-win. Victor Farias worked around a walk to strand two in the 10th to pick up the save, his first. Nick Hollifield and Elijah Green both doubled and Wyatt Henseler singled to round out the FredNats hit column.

The D-Nats bats built an 8-0 lead after four while the D-Nats bullpen managed not to blow it for an 8-5 win. Yaiker Torrelles threw five scoreles innins with two hits, two walks, and six whiffs to earn his second win. Angel Requena singled three times, Marconi German twice, and Nauris De La Cruz drove in four with a sac fly and a bases-clearing double that highlighted the DSL Nationals’ seven-run 4th inning.
