After posting a picket fence in the first three innings, the Red Wings broke it open with a four-run 4th and cruised to a 7-1 win over the RailRiders. Chase Solesky walked five but gave up just two hits over five shutout innings to pick up his fifth win. José Tena reached base three times on two doubles and a walk, drove in two, and swiped a bag while Andrew Pinckney singled, homered, and stole his 25th base to lead the Rochester offense. Harrisburg played for one to tie, as they sacrficed a leadoff walk and inserted a pinch-runner. But after failing to plate the equalizer, Max Romero Jr. blasted a two-out, three-run HR to walk off Akron, 5-3. That a winner out of Daison Acosta, who worked around a walk in the 9th. Riley Cornelio turned in six inning of two-run ball on five hits and no walks for his seventh quality start… and his eighth no-decision. The Senators racked up five hits total with Romero’s longball the one (1) hit in 10 RISP chances. Roster moves: LHP Jake Bennett promoted from Wilmington.

The BlueClaws scored four times in the 7th on one (1) hit as the Blue rocks ‘pen issued two walks and hit two batters to turn a 3-2 lead into a 6-3 loss. The implosion turned Jackson Kent’s sixth quality start turn into a no-decison, as the 22-y.o. let in two unearned runs on three hits, no walks, and five whiffs. Jared Simpson faced five batters without retiring a batter to notch his third blown save and fifth loss. Cortland Lawson singled and doubled while Gavin Dugas reached base twice and drove in a runner while comitting his ninth and tenth errors. Roster moves: RHPs Davian Garcia, Yoel Tejeda promoted from Fredericksburg.

Everett Cooper also went deep in the 9th with an Earl Weaver Special, but it was too little, too late as Fredericksburg fell to Fayetteville, 6-5. Bryan Polanco took the loss after digging a 4-0 hole after four innings on four hits (HR) and three walks while striking out three. Cooper also had an RBI triple and a single while Christhian Vaquero singled twice and drove in the other FredNats run.

The D-Mets Naranja scored in each of their first five “ups” and cruised to a 13-3 demoliton of the D-Nats. Marlon De La Cruz took the brunt of the beating, allowing eight runs on eight hits (two HR) and two walks over three innings. He struck out four while taking his fifth loss. Eddie Maromlejos was the sole DSL Nationals batter to have multiple hits and connected for the only extra-base hit.
