The rain provided mercy that the rules could not as the Senators knocked out the Fgithins in the 6th round, 9-1. Miguel Gomez allowed one run on three hits over two and 2/3rds as the opener. The “W” went to Garrett Davila for retiring all four batters he faced – two by way of the K. Phillip Glasser remains in orbit with four more hits that pushed his average to .429. Glasser, Cayden Wallace, and Jeremy De La Rosa each went deep while Yoyo Morales doubled and tripled to power the Harrisburg offense. Roster moves: RHP Jose Atencio transferred from 7-Day I.L. to 60-Day I.L.

Wilmington broke open a 3-0 game with a five-run 7th and held off a late Brooklyn charge for an 8-5 win. Alex Clemmey pitched into the 6th for the first time in his career and came away with his first High-A win with no runs, one hit, four walks, six whiffs, and a Robles. Branden Boisserie smacked a three-run HR while Seaver King singled twice and doubled once to pace the Blue Rocks offense.
Fredericksburg vs. Salem – PPD
The series between the FredNats and the Red Sox will be shortened to five games, thanks to last night’s rainout. They’ll make this one up when Fredericksburg returns to Salem next month. Roster moves: C Christian Fagnant reassigned from the FCL.

The FCL Astros blasted the F-Nats ‘pen for nine runs to take the season opener, 10-3. Travis Sykora got the start and allowed one run on one hit and one walk but struck out the side twice in two innings. The loss went to Leuris Portorreal with five runs let in on five hits (one HR) and four walks over three innings. Luis Arias singled twice while Elian Soto homered to power the F-Nats attack. Roster moves: IF Eyeksson Rojas reassigned from the DSL; OF Sam Petersen, RHP Travis Sykora assigned from Fredericksburg for MiLB rehab; OF Tyler Baca reassigned from Wilmington.
