Rochester vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre – PPD
Rochester extended its streak of not losing to two days, courtesy of another rainout. The game will not be rescheduled.

Harrisburg 7 Richmond 0
• M. Gomez 3IP, 0H, 0R, 2BB, 1K
• Davila (W, 2-2) 1⅓ IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Schnell 3-5, 2R, 3B, RBI
• Glasser 2-4, 2R, BB, 3B
• Morales 2-4, R, BB, RBI, SB, CS

Five Senators combined to shut out the Flying Squirrels, 1-0 on one hit. Miguel Gomez went the first three and gave up two walks, no hits, and struck out one. Garrett Davila was credited with the win and allowed the sole Richmond hit over and inning and a 1/3rd with no walks and one whiff. Nick Schnell singled twice, scored twice, and had an RBI triple. Phillip Glasser reached base three times, scored twice, and went 2-for-4 to push his BA to .400 and extend his hit streak to 11 games. Roster moves: RHP Riley Cornelio reassigned from Wilmington.

Hudson Valley 4 Wilmington 1
• Clemmey (L, 1-3) 6⅔ IP, 7H, 2R, 2ER, 3BB, 9K, WP
• Arguelles 1⅓ IP, 0H, 0R, 4BB, 2K, 2-1 IR-S
• Pimentel 1-3, RBI
• Lomavita 1-4, R, 3B

Wilmington avoided the shutout but dropped their third straight to Hudson Valley. Alex Clemmey pitched into the 7th for the first time in his pro career, but wore the “L” with two runs allowed on seven hits and three walks. He struck out nine. Chad Lomavita tripled and scored ahead of Brandon Pimentel’s RBI single while Seaver King and Gavin Dugas both had safeties to round out the Blue Rocks’ four-hit barrage. It was the 11th time in 31 games that Wilmington has scored only one run. Roster moves: RHP Austin Amaral reaassigned from Fredericksburg..

Lynchburg 4 Fredericksburg 3
• Y. Tejeda (L, 1-1) 4⅓ IP, 4H, 3R, 3ER, 2BB, 4K
• Minckler 2IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 3K
• Ochoa 1-4, R, 3B, RBI
• Tavares 1-4, 2B, RBI

The Frogs got a kiss from a princess with a gift run in the 8th and a Robles in the 9th to bring the tying run up to the plate with one out. Randal Diaz delivered a single to center but Nick “Power to the” Peoples ran through the stop sign and was easily gunned down at third base. It would sting even more when Nate Ochoa tripled in Diaz and then watched as Carlos Tavares flew out to end the game. Fredericksburg starter Yoel Tejada Jr. took the loss on three runs given up on four hits and two walks over four and a 1/3rd. RHP Johan Otanez reaassigned from the FCL.

FCL Nationals 11 FCL Mets 1
• Sykora 3IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 8K
• C. Martina (W, 1-0) 1⅔ IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 2BB, 2K
• Dickerson 3-5, 2R, HR, 5RBI
• A. Feliz 2-5, 2R, RBI
• Jones 2-3, R, BB, 2B, 3RBI

Travis Sykora faced nine batters and struck out eight of them in his second FCL start. That might be the best way to ensure his next appearance won’t be in Florida as the FCL Nationals downed the FCL Marlins, 11-1. Clarence Martina picked up the win despite allowing the lone F-Marlins run on two hits and two walks over an inning and 2/3rds. Luke Dickerson drove in five while hitting his first pro HR while Jamison Jones plated three with a two-run single and an RBI double to lead the F-Nats attack. Roster moves: RHP Euri Montero assigned from Washington (MLFA).

I still say that “ Do you feel lucky , punk !” Luckham the best arm in that draft basket
Now folks if Cavilli walks off fatigued vs SWB somebody in the stadium controls should pipe in the Madelyn Kahn song from Blazing Saddles
I’m Tired ( tired of coming and going .. going and coming … lol)
Cornelio has earned the promotion or desperate times calls for desperate measures , Fred MD?
