Rochester busted out for two in the 1st and three in the 3rd en route to a 10-1 demolition of Lehigh Valley. Shinnosuke Ogasawara won his U.S. debut with six innings of one-run ball on five hits, no walks, and six whiffs. Jackson Rutledge, Carlos Romero, and Patrick Weigel each turned in a scoreless inning in relief. Drew Millas led the 12-hit parade with five RBI on two triples and a homer followed by Robert Hassell, who singled twice, scored twice, and doubled once, and Brady House, who singled, doubled, and drove in two.
What a fantastic game for the watchlisters and guys to watch (like Millas, Ogasawara and Romero)!
Millas had a miserable ST, so it’s nice to see some life still in his bat. Same story for Ogasawara. Glad to know he can at least miss bats at AAA, and maybe gain some confidence and feel for his pitches state-side.
Rizzo loves his catchers

I was at the home opener and was warmer at Sunday’s hockey game ! Ogasawara pitched great the first time thru the order but they started to get their timing down the second time. Baker made a fantastic throw from left center to get the runner at third and Hassell made a nice diving catch in Right Center. Both plays were great considering how cold it was. All of Millas’ hits were pulled right down the line. Lastly, don’t pay much attention to batting / strikeouts for either team the last two innings. I think both teams were swinging at anything that did not bounce or go over their head. Time to warm up 🙂
I attended the Senators welcome back dinner last night. Jarlin Susana is HUGE. No wonder he throws that hard. He’s listed at 6’6″, 235.
he is most definetly a huge person, can’t wait to see him pitch. The dinner was good last night, home opener in 6 days, can’t wait
LM I would bet Oh Susana’s hands are bigger than Cecil Fielders when I met him and his teenage son Prince the day

Imagine JR Richard was bigger than Susana
Let’s see what Choi brings in cold April start
How long before Rizzo sends Cruise down and brings up Hassell?
