Well, it’s not quite payback but Rochester will probably take it as they hung a 12-3 loss on Worcester and ended an eight-game losing streak. Jack Sinclair was the opener, giving up a run on three hits and no walks while striking out three. Patrick Weigel was awarded the win for stranding two while getting six outs against five batters with no hits, no walks, and three whiffs. Brady House singled twice, homered twice, scored thrice, and drove in four while Andrew Knizer reached base four times on two safeties, a base on balls, and a big fly. The Red Wings racked up a season-best 17 hits and struck out just five times while drawing five walks.

The Senators led twice – 1-0 and 2-1 – but were doubled up by the Fisher Cats, 4-2 for their third loss of the series. Miguel Gomez was the opener and scattered six hits ove three innings, allowing one run, no walks, and striking out five. The loss went to Ivan Armstrong, who gave up the go-ahead run in the 7th. Carlos De La Cruz singled and homered while Daylen Lile singled and doubled. The rest of the Harrisburg lineup went 2-for-23 and and 0-for-10 with RISP.

Three Hudson Valley pitchers combined to shut out Wilmington on four hits, 8-0, extending the Blue Rocks’ losing streak to five games. Blue Rocks starter Travis Sthele was in ’24 Sunday form, giving up all eight Renegades runs on seven hits and a Robles over two and 2/3rds innings. Chad Lomavita broke up the Renegades’ no-hitter with the first of his two singles in the 2nd while Brandon Pimentel and Seaver King also had safeties to round out the Wilmington hit column of four (4).

Cade Cavalli made his first appearance in nearly 10 months and was among the four FredNats pitchers who combined to shut out the Woodpeckers, 2-0 on three hits. The 26-y.o. struggled with his command while working on his secondary pitches, but got through four innings with one hit, two walks, and three strikeouts. The win went to 30-y.o. Erick Mejia, who struck out four and walked two over two frames while Adam Bloebaum picked up the save with one hit and one whiff in the 8th and 9th innings. Jorgelys Mota reached base three times and scored on a Jackson Ross single – the lone hit in 12 RISP chances – while Nick “Power to the” Peoples scored the second run on a Cristhian Vaquero sac fly.
