Chase Solesky picked up his first win of ’25, spinning five platters of one-run pitching on two hits and three walks while striking out seven. Four relievers combined to shut down the Bison on one hit over the final four innings. Trey Lipscomb led the Red Wings 11-hit parade with three singles, three runs scored, and two stolen bases, followed by Brady House with a double and a homer. The Senators dug themselves a 5-1 hole after three innings but chipped away with single runs in the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th to tie it up. Alas, Holden Powell didn’t live up to his first name, instead he gave up three runs in the 8th to take the loss in a 8-5 defeat. SSDL for Hyun-Il Choi as the Rule 5 pick was pounded for five runs on four hits (two HRs) over six innings. He walked one and struck out seven. Yoyo Morales extended his hit streak to five games with a single, double, and a homer and drove in three to power the Harrisburg offense.

Chance Huff was lit up for the aforementioned three-spot for the blown-save-loss, his second of each stat for ’25. All three Blue Rocks runs came via the longball, courtesy of Seaver King for a solo shot and Branden Boissiere for a two-run blast.

Yoel Tejeda was lifted with two on and nobody out in the 4th after throwing 73 pitches. He was charged with one earned run on three hits, two walks, and a Robles. He struck out four. The win went to Erik Tolman, who threw two scoreless innings. Christhian Vaquero singled three times and drove in two while Jackson Ross walked and homered to lead the Fredericksburg offense.
How nice to wake up to homers by House, Morales, and King!
House is at .304/.366/.511 at AAA and hasn’t turned 22 yet. It seems like prospect fatigue that there isn’t more excitement about him. I’m glad they’re not rushing him, but there’s a lot to like here.
A new snarkle package , Luke
“ yo – yo “ tattered and Green Kd
Non weekend Sthele served up a good weeknight QS at age 25..
Funnily, BA, MLB and BP all have House consistently bungeeing back and forth off their top 100 lists (pretty stupid if you ask me)
2022: 59, 49, 66
2023: NR, NR, NR
2024: 55, 48, 69
2025: NR, NR, NR
Unless House exhausts his rookie eligibility in 2025, look like we’ll see yet another wild correction to prospect groupthink for 2026.
Well the first NR’s are due to missing most of the season because of a bad back (right?). Hearing the words “Bad back” would spook me enough to take him off a top 100.
Second set of NR’s is after .699 OPS season between HBG and ROC.
Probably an overreaction but as Nats #5 prospect in MLB.com he’d be between 100-200. (Maybe distance from 50-150 is actually less than 1-50).
We have such a need at that position – would be great for the franchise we can finally have a good player there.
Choi pitched well, except for one inning. There was some pop in the catchers mitt.
Luckham has been moved up to AAA – is pitching today for Rochester.
Witt to the 7-day DL.
Brzykcy optioned to AAA.
