AFL Update: Oct. 26, 2024

Robert Hassell was thrown out at the plate in the 8th, but the runner ahead of him scored on a two-out single that gave the Rafters a 7-6 lead that the bullpen held on its third try.

Hassell had drawn a walk and stolen second base prior to future Dancing with the Stars contestant Gino Groover’s game-winning RBI single. Hassell singled in the 6th for his 1-for-4 line at the plate. He had five putouts and fielded two triples as the Salt River center fielder.

Phillip Glasser, who was added to the Rafters roster at some unknown point^*, made his first appearance and went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts while batting ninth and had one assist as the Salt River third baseman.

The Rafters (8-7) closes out Week 3 of the 2024 AFL season with an afternoon game the Javelinas (4-11) in Phoenix.
