third time the good hitting Bison’s have seen Lord and he limits them to one run. while he is definitely having to work harder in AAA he is more than holding his own. way to go young man!
Davis not getting his feet planted firmly in A plus level .
Holy Mackerel 13Ks in 5 2/3rds innings for Stuart?? Yes please. there’s room in AAA for you buddy (ahem, Ward -> bullpen please)
Stuart is looking like a steal. SSS, but whatever tweaks the Nats have made with him are golden so far. He’s looking like he could be in the majors next season.
The decision with Stuart may be between a promotion to AAA vs. saving some innings in his arm for the Arizona Fall League.
13 strikeouts is absurd, and even before yesterday Stuart has been quite a bit better than expected. Was anyone been able to watch yesterday? Was he still hitting 96 and 97 with his fastball?
Also, even the best relievers aren’t perfect, but it’s a rough day in Harrisburg when they get blown saves (and multiple earned runs given up) by Brzykcy, Grissom, and Sinclair. Yikes. I hope they can just shrug it off.
The stat line that I am marveling at is Theophile’s. How do you give up seven hits, three walks, a Robles, and throw a wild pitch in three innings of work and “only” give up two runs?
