    A tale of two prospects:

    Feliz: .319/.392/.482
    Hurtado: .218/.310/.331

Yet MLB.com has Hurtado ranked ahead of Feliz, and both ahead of substantial prospects like Lara, Bennett, and Stuart. Curious.

      Feliz: $1.7m bonus. Hurtado: $2.8M.

Prospect ranking by signing bonus. Its why we still see the likes of Cruz (3.9M), Vaquero (4.9M) still higher than they deserve to be by production and its why Antuna ($3.9M) was given more chances than Steve Howe,

And on the flip side, the gurus weren’t that enthusiastic about Soto because his bonus wasn’t that much. Even within the Nats’ system, they couldn’t believe that he could be better than Robles.

When guys they overhyped early don’t live up to it, some still get carried way too high on the lists (Antuna, Vaquero), while others get flushed entirely. What if I told you that the Nats had drafted a 6-4 pitcher, age 21, who went to Wilmington and posted a 2.35 ERA and 11.4 K9, then got promoted to AA and was holding his own? His name is Andry Lara. He would have been a college draftee this year. He was once a darling of the gurus, ranked as high as #4 or #5 in the system. He’s perfectly on age-appropriate target, but they won’t give him the time of day now.

        Double edged question on Chase
Solesky : most impressive outing for a Nats farm hand starter so far this summer versus Squirrels tonight ? And is he one of the most surprising after thought minor league starter added to Nats farm in awhile ?

Sykora outing two starts ago was the best of all summer . Solesky impressive against pesky Flying Sqirrels
Alvarez would have needed CG to hit 100 IP .
Nice outing for Cacares vs Cyclones maybe not the best hitting line up in the league but still . Ugh the Blue Rox bullpen .

I wonder if the joke in Nats farm system @ Fred is : coach , don’t pencil in Sthele in on Sunday ?? lol.
Looks like Everett Cooper 111 is on DL for “injury “ / playing time not abundant ?
Big big starting assignment for acessment
With JR versus LeHigh Valley Hogs .
Let’s project James Woods RBI production over a 162 game healthy season if he has 30 in this
      MLB audition debut .

Theophile left the mound with the trainer. As noted, he didn’t have very good control so maybe it was an injury.

he did have lousy control, I was thinking more of a blister when he left the field with Don. That’s two nights in a row that it was a bunch of hit batters. It’s good to see Yohandy playing again, now to get Robert back.
