The loss went to Chance Huff, who retired one of seven batters faced and let in six runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk. The Blue Rocks marched to an 11-hit parade, all singles save for T.J. Loads of positives to highlight so I’ll focus on Yohandy Morales.

Since returning from injury 13 games ago he’s hitting .362/.444/.723. The best part is he’s hit 5 HR in those 13 games, when he’d hit only 2 HR in his 79 games prior to that, which led to some pretty harsh and quick downgrades to his generally excellent scouting reports before then. I’d expect him to quickly bounce back up lists just as Jarlin Susana is beginning to.
What a great and, frankly, unexpected bounce back from Morales!

I was also thinking about Morales as well. The MLB.com rankings just dropped him three or four slots. How quick and harsh the judgments are. They were particularly harsh for House when he struggled with injuries during his first season.

Anyway, good for the Morales. The opportunities with the big club at 1B and DH are still wide open. Perhaps YoYo can be in that conversation by the middle of next season. With the time he’s missed, he also will be a good candidate for the AZ Fall League.

Maybe Yo- yo needed more humidity in the air to make the sweet spot on the bat even sweeter .
