Perhaps we’ll see something better out of Joan Adon as a relief pitcher. He seemed to do ok his first time through the order at the MLB level. He was throwing a lot of breaking balls last night. Dylan Crews had to twist and turn to run down a ball to deep center for the third out and give Adon his scoreless inning.

The move of Adon to the ‘pen is long, long overdue. Rutledge and Ward may end up there eventually as well, although Rutledge has finally strung together a couple of good starts.

The maturity of any athlete in any sport truly takes time
A good comparison : Reynaldo Lopez with ATL through 13 starts and in the NHL the hot goalie for the NHL Cup winners Panthers who some years ago was the backup goalie for Columbus Blue Jackets .
Less than a month until the amateur draft . Vegas odds on how many lefties the Nats try and draft for the pipeline

Time for the senators to break their old bats and use new ones or else the Buckeye Alum for sea wolves is just painting the plate well .

LeCroy can actually use Mejiia back on the bench
Maybe Luck lowers his ERA to under 4 in matinee Vs Sea Wolves .
Who falls on the sword if the July draft falls short in collecting several higher tier non – Elijah’s ?

if the fans in Wilmington are going to see any runs the second half it may fall on the older trio of Glasser, Dugas and McKenzie. unfortunately only the first guy will take a walk and he hasn’t played in 10 days. hurt?

Brzykcy with 2 innings last night and the league hitting .128 against him. this may be his last week here. he and Cronin need to move up. Arguelles looks like a good option to fill a spot, maybe Bubba Hall too.

Wilmington is definitely collecting all the good-but-old players in this org. Shuman, 26 years old, gets added to the growing list.

FredMD I was thinking the same thing about the Blue Rox lineup
McKenzie is more of a doubles hitter in the three hole while a guy we root for to flip the switch on languishes on the bench or 7-8 hole in lineup – TJ White .
One could say that a young hitter learning the nuances of hitting especially “ trouble with the curve “ ( right , Elijah $ ) is similar to a soul finding it’s true North Star in the path of life .
      Takes time

Theophile had good pretty command of all his pitches against the oldest lineup in the Eastern League. nice first AA outing.

Lyle continues to succeed and House continues to swing at anything close.

Is there any way to genetically engineer Lile’s hit tool into Green’s body? Green is down to .165, Vaquero to .153. I cringe at mentions that the Nats may be looking at yet another contact-challenged high schooler in the draft, Konnor Griffin.

I genuinely didn’t think Green could get much worse than he was in Fredericksburg in 2023. Well, over the past 30 days, he’s hitting .146/.214/.159 with a 53 K%… it can always get worse.

Why don’t the Nats draft that pitcher ambidextrous?

This is a matinee game where Delino wishes he had a healthy Dustin Saenz or
Cole Henry on rehab assignment .
Is Shuman due for AA soon ?
Luke , you’re very consistent with “ staff ace “ Bryan Polanco who has been getting to 5-6 IP on a normal basis .
I repeat : too bad some of the arms on 60 day DL / 7 day IL are not healthy . Sunday with Sully would be better than Sunday with Sthele. No offense , Travis . But pitch like a Longhorn should .
