Rochester Red Wings, 36-31, 3rd Place I.L. East, 11GB
The Red Wings are riding a four-game win streak as the first half is set to close on June 23. But you don’t care about that, now that word has come via the Twitters that OF Dylan Crews will be joining the team this week in Syracuse.

Harrisburg Senators, 36-27, 1st Place E.L. Southwest, 1GA
Will there be a corresponding move from Wilmington to Harrisburg? If there is, you’ll hear it from the Senators first. Meanwhile, the first-place Hartford Yard Goats visit for six this week in City Isle with a matinee on Thursday. The reigning Eastern League pitcher of the week—Brad Lord, in case you’re stopping by from the MASN comments—is expected to start tonight.

Wilmington Blue Rocks, 29-34, 6th place Sally Lg. North, 7½ GB
Wilmington was eliminated from the first-half title race this past week after a 2-4 mark against Jersey Shore. This week, they host the Aberdeen IronBirds for six with a last-place finish all but certain. Roster moves: OF Jared McKenzie activated from 7-Day I.L.

Fredericksburg Nationals, 33-30, 4th Place C.L. North, 6GB
Fredericksburg split its series against Carolina to stop a two-series losing streak. The FredNats can still finish anywhere from second to fifth place if they can make like a drydock and get their ship together with a strong finish. Roster moves: RHP Seth Shuman, IF Sammy Infante reassigned from Wilmington.

FCL Marlins 3 FCL Nationals 1
• Farrell (L, 0-1) 2⅔ IP, 3H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 3K, WP, BK
• C. Sanchez 3IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 2K
• Rombach 2-4, R, 2B(5),
• Rivero 1-3, RBI

The F-Marlins scored in three of their first four “ups” and held on for 3-1 win over the F-Nats. Luke Farrell was hooked for two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk over two and 2/3rds innings to take the loss. Nate Rombach singled, doubled, and scored on Yoander Rivero’s RBI single. The rest of the F-Nats went 2-for-23 with three walks and 11 strikeouts. Roster moves: RHP Christian Ciuffetelli assigned from Fredericksburg for MiLB rehab.

DSL Giants Black 6 DSL Nationals 3
• J. Feliz 4IP, 4H, 2R, 0ER, 0BB, 7K
• Oliveros (L, 1-2) 3IP, 2H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 3K, HR
• Tejeda 2-3, R, BB, SB(15)
• Liriano 1-2, 2B

The DSL Nationals got three in the 1st but couldn’t hold the early lead and fell 6-3 to the still undefeated DSL Giants Black. Jose Feliz went the first four and allowed two unearned runs on four hits, no walks, and seven whiffs. Deiver Oliveros lost his second game with three runs let in over three frames on two hits (one HR) and a walk. He struck out three. Dashyll Tejeda led the D-Nats hit column with two singles and stole his 15th base (second in the league) while Hector Liriano doubled for the DSL Nationals’ only extra-base hit.

Lile ? Will that conga line be broken up with Lile promotion ?

Glasser, Lile and Pena are the only players even close to above average on the team. Glasser, having been promoted only a month or so ago, has less urgency, even if he’s quite old for the level. That leaves Lile and Pena. Pena is an infielder, and it seems that the OF experiment didn’t go very well, as he hasn’t played in the OF since April. Lile is both the better hitter and a natural OF, so he has to be the natural candidate for promotion.

Andrew Gold was one of my favourite musicians, a true talent! He had several hits, not a one hit wonder. Also known for the theme song for the “Golden Girls” (Thank you for being a friend).

Yes, Daylin Lile has been promoted to Harrisburg. The conga line indeed.
