Rochester Red Wings, 3-3, T6th place, 2½ GB I.L. East
After getting rained out of four straight games, the Red Wings dropped two of three to Lehigh Valley to fall back to .500. This week, it’s six against I-90 rival Buffalo with matinees on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Harrisburg Senators, 1-2, T2nd place, 1GB
Harrisburg broke out for five runs yesterday to avoid a three-game sweep. The Senators visit the Curve for six this week with a 4 p.m. start on Saturday and 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
Wilmington Blue Rocks, 3-0, 1st place, 1GA
The Blue Rocks swept the Cyclones on the opening weekend, walking them off on both Saturday and Sunday. It’s a short drive up I-95 this week to visit Aberdeen for the first of 27 games against their divisional rival

Funny how the Nats win 8-1 but ESPN shows only Snell highlights
But no Lane Thomas tater
Or Lipscombe’s steal of home…
Definitely a shout-out to Trey, with three hits and three SBs, including the steal of home. He struggled over the weekend, so good for him for getting some mojo back. Time will tell whether he’ll hit consistently enough to be an MLB regular, but he’s marking himself as someone who can at least be a super-utility asset, all the more since they seem scared to let Nunez even hold a piece of wood in his hands.
Altogether a good first week. I’ll be happy if the 4 full season teams can finish the season with a cumulative winning percentage above .500.
Trivia question: when was the last time the Nats’ affiliates finished with a winning percentage?
I doubt that they’ve collectively finished with a winning record during this decade.
BC
I knew it but I’m *supposed* to know it. Hint: the last time they had a truly good AAA team.
Josiah Gray to the 10 day IL with a forearm/elbow strain (yikes, as that often precedes the discovery of UCL damage and TJ). Adon up to start tonight. Would think Rutledge could be up soon.
