Will Frizzell   Will Frizzell
Born: 2/21/99
Ht. 6’3″
Wt. 225
Bats: L
Throws: R
Career Stats
Frizzell’s presence atop this list is a product of two factors: (1) this position is incredibly thin (2) the strong showing he had in Low-A in ’22 (.377/.426/.696, 11HR, 44RBI in 34G). After posting a .528 OPS after he was Rhineharted to AA start ’23, Frizzell was demoted to A+ and had a decent .805 OPS, whichis what you’d expect from a guy two years older than the Lg. Avg.
  T.J. White

Ht. 6’2″
Wt. 210
Bats: S
Throws: R
Career Stats
Likewise, White’s presence is largely a factor of his DOB, which is never a very good yardstick (see: Rowell, Billy) for prospects. As semi-predicted in this space a year ago, White was shifted to 1B from the OF, where he committed 13E in 63G. Like ’22, White had strong outings every other month in ’23, which is a good sign (i.e., he’s adjusting to the adjustments) but needs to even it out in ’24.
Roismar Quintana   Roismar Quintana
Born: 2/6/03
Ht. 6’1″
Wt. 175
Bats: R
Throws: R
Career Stats
Quintana split time between the 1B, LF, and DH with most of his time at 1B. Given that he could race Sandy Leon and a pregnant woman and still finish fourth, that listing of 175 lbs is probably closer to 195. As scouts feared, the K rate jumped to nearly 28%. Fortunately, the walk rate improved even more dramatically, going from 9 in 50G to 44 in 92G.
Nathaniel Ochoa Leyva   Nathaniel Ochoa Leyva
Born: 10/15/03
Ht. 6’4″
Wt. 215
Bats: R
Throws: R
Career Stats
Drafted in ’22 out of Burlington, ON, Leyva has spent his first two seasons in the FCL. Like many draftees, his position is unsettled. First base is where he spent the most time last summer, but he’s also seen time at 3B, LF, and SS. While he has yet to hit a HR, scouts point to his raw power… and his swing-and-miss, as seen with 42K in 34G
