FCL Nationals ALL STAR BREAK @ FCL Cardinals, 12 p.m.
DSL Nationals OFF DAY vs DSL Cardinals, 11 a.m.

Rochester Red Wings, 6-6, T6th Place, 3GB, I.L. East – 40-45 Overall
The activation of Lucius Fox just might prove to be the difference going into the second half… but probably not. Rochester plays I-90 rival Syracuse this weekend as the full-season affiliates play a three-game series before reverting to one week since you looked at me, one opponent.

Harrisburg Senators, 5-7, T5th place, 3GB, E.L. Southwest – 36-44 Overall
The Senators play the Flying Squirrels to open the second half, hoping to break a two-game slide.

Wilmington Blue Rocks, 5-10, 5th Place, 6GB, Sally Lg. North – 34-45 Overall
Wilmington drives down I-95 to play Aberdeen for three games before returning home to host Greensboro next week.

Fredericksburg Nationals, 6-8, T5th Place, 2½ GB, C.L. North – 36-41 Overall
The FredNats host the Hillcats this weekend to settle who’ll be in 6th place on Monday. Next week, Fredericksburg makes its only trip south of Virginia in the second half and the first of three series NOT against the C.L. North

FCL Nationals 10-14, 4½ GB, FCL East
The audition period of the FCL season is now over and now we see who gets sent packing or “injured” as the draft picks sign.

not a pleasant time for any of the boys that struggled in the first half. they’ve worked for this their whole life and sadly will be told they’re not good enough. here’s to hoping they land on their feet and have a happy life.

      Indeed
      Especially Eric Tejada ?
Let’s hope the college starters can give good innings into the system for the next few seasons and ahem ahem
Avoid the TJ list and DL list .

Well expressed FredMD. Sorting out time is ahead, and it’s going to be a tough transition for some. They’ve succeeded pretty darn well to make it as far as they have.

some of my second half questions:
do they push Lile up or let him continue at Fburg and give the spot to Crews at A+
can Rutledge take the next step and reduce his walks for the Wings
does Millas continue to bump up that avg and make a case for DC in ’24
does Green find increased contact after his recent timeout
will Rutherford get a shot in DC after deadline moves (no doubt if Lane’s dealt)
how well will Alu do after his promotion

Beyond Crews, it’ll be very interesting where the other recent draftees will fit in. Where will Pinckney fit into our glut of good OFs? I guess Morales has no choice but to go to Frederickburg.

Then who will join the farm after we trade Candelario and others? I’d imagine Rizzo will insist on some upper level arms, as we need all the help we can get in Rochester, whether starters or relievers.

Rizzo said that Crew and Morales would likely start in F’burg.

So Morales played UM with the catcher @ Fred ?

Listen to the Doctor ( Doobie Bros ).

3 hits, a walk and a steal today for Cristhian “Sonny” Vaquero. He even got one batting lefthanded!

He’s now hitting .307 overall and since June 14m when he was hitting .154, he’s 19 for 49 with 7 BBs, (vs. 10 strikeouts) and 3 Robles.

I’m not saying they should put him on the escalator quite yet, but he might be ready for a trip to the Fredericksburg Starbucks once the FCL season ends.
