Transaction Update
Yesterday, Baseball America dropped its second transaction post of the year while several of last month’s MLFAs were assigned to Rochester:

● RHP Odalvi Javier (signed 12/30/22)
● LHP Anthony Banda (signed 12/23/22)
● RHP Gerson Moreno (signed 12/21/22)
● RHP José Mujica (signed 12/18/22)
It’s worth reminding folks that the offseason rosters are not indicative of what they’ll be when the full-season affiliates start on March 31st (Red Wings), April 6 (Sens and Blue Rocks), and April 7 (FredNats). Still, it does look like the Nats are stockpiling AAA arms Forrest Gump pause again, looking for guys that can be easily moved on and off the 40-man if/when needed.
Other than Perez I don’t know any of these guys. Here’s hoping there is more talent in Rochester than last year.
