Rochester scored in four straight innings while every batter had at least one hit in an 11-2 smackdown of Lehigh Valley. Cory Abbott fell two out shy of qualifying for the win, allowing both runs on one hit and four walks while striking out three. A quintet of relievers combined to shut down the IronPigs the rest of the way, with Matt Cronin picking up the win. Ildemaro Vargas and Nick Banks doubled and homered as the Red Wings racked up 14 hits and drew two walks on the night. Roster moves: RHP Joan Adon recalled to Washington.

The Senators battled back from a 3-1 deficit to take a 6-3 lead but couldn’t hold it for a 7-6 loss to the SeaWolves. Jake Irvin pitched six full innings for the first time this season, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks. He hit a batter and struck out five. Andrew Lee suffered the blown-save-loss with the last three Erie runs let in on two hits and two walks while striking out two. Harrisburg put on the tying and go-ahead runs in the 9th with one out before Jake Alu grounded into a game-ending double play.

Wilmington scored in six of its first seven turns at bat en route to an 8-1 win over Winston-Salem. Mitchell Parker tied his career high with 12 strikeouts, allowing the sole Dash run on two hits and four walks over five and 2/3rds innings. Israel Pineda reached base five times with a single, two walks, two homers, and three RBI while Ricardo Méndez doubled, homered, and drove in two to lead the Blue Rocks’ 13-hit parade.

The FredNats broke up the Star Trek Convention on the scoreboard with a picket fence in their last three “ups” to take this one, 3-1. Mason Denaburg tossed four scoreless with one hit allowed, no walks, and six whiffs. Marc Davis won his second game in relief while Todd Peterson struck out two in a 1-2-3 ninth for his second save. Branden Boisserie singled three times and scored ahead of Andry Arias’s triple while Steven Williams went Hartford in the 8th to plate the insurance run.

The F-Nats rallied for two in the 7th and one in the 8th as they doubled up the F-Mets, 6-3. Bryan Sanchez got the starting nod and gave up a run on a hit and a walk while striking out three. The win went to Miguel Atencio, who lost a 3-2 lead in the 7th but pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th for the blown-save-win. Angel Geraldo singled four times to lead the F-Nats hit column, followed by Armando Cruz with a single and a triple.
