If the non-draftees are being assigned, then I guess the draftees being assigned must be imminent.
Also, what the heck happened to Jackson Rutledge?! He was great in his last game.
I can’t believe that we’ve got ANOTHER first round pitcher who can’t stay healthy. Our three first round draft picks from 2017-2019 have thrown a collective 146 innings across parts of 9 seasons.
Hope this past draft was an acknowledgement that Rizzo’s arm-only draft strategy has failed miserably.
Is it the draft strategy, or is it player development lacking–or a combination of both?
